One of my favorite hobbies, next to paper crafting, is quilting. The Holidays are right around the corner so I thought I would make a cozy quilted card using the Under the Mistletoe Designer Series Paper page 189 -2018 Annual Catalog. Check back for another quilted card tutorial soon!

Cozy Quilted Card |
Start with strips of paper, placing them around the square. |
Finished mat and a close-up of Wink of Stella on petals. |
Details:
- Card Base: Old Olive cardstock cut to 8 1/2 x 5 1/2, then scored down the middle.
- Matting: Cut one piece of cardstock 5 1/4" x 4" (whisper White used here).
- Quilt Base: Cut another piece of cardstock 5" x 3 3/4" (Whisper White).
- Cut four (4) 1" x 6 " strips from four (4) different patterns of Designer Series Paper. I used Under the Mistletoe DSP for this card.
- Cut one (1) square for starting point in the middle (Old Olive used here). I used a 1" square however you could use 1/2" if you prefer.
- Adhere the 1" square to the middle of the quilt base.
- Next adhere either Snail Adhesive or Multipurpose Liquid Glue all over the base around the 1" square.
- Begin gluing down the 1" strips around the square as shown above.
- When completed adding all of the strips, trim the excess designer series paper using either the paper trimmer or paper snips.
- I embellished my card with a poinsettia cut from one of the papers included in the Under the Mistletoe DSP and adhered it onto the top of the 1" square using a Stampin' Dimensional. To add a little shimmer to the petals, brushed on clear Wink of Stella.
- Sentiment: "Happiest Christmas Wishes" from the Dashing Deer Stamp Set stamped onto a piece of Whisper White cardstock cut out using the Merry Christmas Thinlits Dies in Cherry Cobbler and adhered to the card using Stampin' Dimensionals.
